Matt Ricetti and The Driftwoods came together at Berklee College of Music in early 2025, a group of musicians drawn together by a shared love of dynamic, genre-blending music. Fronted by songwriter, guitarist, drummer, and vocalist Matt Ricetti, the band brings together a lineup of talented players, each adding their own unique voice to the sound: Hailee Kim (vocals), Andrew Tiedeman (acoustic guitar), Stephan Koffi Papandrea (bass), Jason Wolf (electric guitar), and Steven Mejia (piano).
Pulling from influences across grunge, folk, and Southern rock, the band crafts songs that are both raw and refined, balancing intricate musicianship with emotional depth. The band takes inspiration from Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Mumford & Sons, and Allman Brothers Band. Their music is a true collaboration, every member contributes their own ideas and energy, making each performance feel fresh and alive.
Since their formation, Matt Ricetti and The Driftwoods have been gaining attention for their chemistry, originality, and ability to push musical boundaries. With a constantly evolving sound and a passion for storytelling through music, they’re a band to watch.
